Joining Safi Rides means becoming part of a trusted, professional, and safety-driven transportation network. To ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability, and service, all Safi Rides drivers must meet the following criteria:
Driver Eligibility Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a Kenyan Class B license with at least 4 years of driving experience
- Minimum Age: You must be at least 22 years old
- National ID: Kenyan National ID or Alien ID for foreigners
- KRA PIN: Registered Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN
- Certificate of Good Conduct: Police clearance from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
- NTSA Medical Test: Must pass a fitness and vision test from an NTSA-certified doctor
- Application Form XVI: To be completed and certified by the Traffic Police Department
Vehicle & Safety Requirements
- Vehicle Inspection: Thorough vehicle assessment to meet NTSA safety standards

Vehicle Requirements for Safi Rides
To ensure safety, reliability, and compliance, all vehicles operating under the Safi Rides platform must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Certified Mechanical Inspection: All vehicles must pass a comprehensive inspection conducted by a certified third-party mechanic.
- Valid Vehicle Registration: Proof of up-to-date vehicle registration is required.
- Driver's Proof of Insurance: Each driver must provide valid personal vehicle insurance documentation (insurance card).
